![]() 22 LR make good sense in certain situations. The 9mm might have the same recoil, but it has less noise. New shooters are also sometimes not happy with the noise and recoil of the. ![]() Not all indoor ranges are up to the task of dealing with. The noise generated by shooting a centerfire rifle indoors can make the experience kind of unpleasant. This particular one is a rare select-fire, and in a collection. They do it by pinning in blocks to fill the mag well. Pending any issues, which I don’t foresee, I will update my review. I’ve yet to fire the weapon, however, it’s seated my 10 round ASC magazines beautifully. Slid in Snugly yet perfectly to my Andersen lower. Thanks for a quality part that works perfectly. Little fitting required, put 150 rounds down range with no problem. 223 upper, KVP "ramped" 9mm bolt, KVP 9mm barrel and KVP 7.5 Stainless Steel 9mm buffer My setup is AERO lower, DPMS "slick side". This "bottom load" mag from KAK is 100% the way to go, it is AWESOME! You know the guns empty and you see the empty chamber. I love the LRBHO because you can hear the difference when you fire the last shot. I ran a swab down the barrel and the next day shot 350 rounds (250 rounds of Rem 115gr FMJ and 100 rounds of steel cased Tula 115gr) FLAWLESS! Every round was flawless and the bolt stayed open on the last round EVERY TIME! Since the lowers magazine catch is what holds the block in, I could actually use it without the top screw (in case I lost it) as the only time it would be unsupported is the 1/2 second you release a 9mm mag and since its a snug fit, the block isn't going anywhere.įirst time I used the block I fired a 300 round assortment of Remington 115gr FMJ, S&B 115gr FMJ, Winchester "Forged" 115gr FMJ (Win Forged is garbage) and even steel cased Wolf 115gr and Tula 115gr. Better too big then too small and it now fits perfectly snug. It took a bit of work to fit the block to my AERO lower but thats a good thing. I couldn't stand taking a shot and "click" so I bought the KAK with LRBHO. I bought a Hahn 9mm conversion block and it works great but was almost twice the price of the KAK and does not hold the bolt open after the last round. Tried several lowers before I found one it liked, kinda like college roommates. Initially a bit worried as, it fit as tight a a scotch mans purse. Tried the looser one in a different lower and it absolutely would not fit. Haven't tried live fire yet but will soon.īought two of these an could installed both in the same lower, could tell that there was a noticeable different in how tight one was over the other. Metalform 32's drop out beautifully but jam when cycling dummy rounds. ![]() Ordered Pro Mag 32 and 25 mags which took some modifying to drop free. Received in good order, Would not go into PSA lower so I used an Anderson. On the contrary, the Colt style magazine when installed in the KAK mag well adator is a nice snug fit but drops our easily when the mag relaese is activated. I have a dedicated Glock lower and it has feeding issues, mainly becssue of no feed ramps and also the Glock and Pmag magazines are loose in the lowers mag well. I really like the feed ram idea on the Colt style blocks, it definitely helps to eliminate feeding issues. The product worked perfectly after the initail triming of the front and rear of the block. and C-Products Colt style Duromag to the range yesterday and had no FTF issues! I took the finished rifle, KAK 9mm 16" barrel, Anderson lower with KAK mag well adaptor. 004" combined from the leading and trailing edges the fit in the Anderson lower was nice and snug-could be installed and removed with finger pressure. After discussing the issue with Chris the block was exchanged for a new unit but it was still too tight. The first mag adaptor that I recieved from KAK was too tight to fit in an Anderson lower.
